Hi everyone :) If you read my 'About Me' section, you know that my name is Trisha, and I am an incoming medical student. A little about me - after graduating in 2018 with a degree in Biochemistry, I started working as a research technician at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Those were some of the most formative months of my life in terms of deciding whether or not medicine was the right path for me. I was able to not only conduct research, but I was also able to volunteer with the patients and shadow some phenomenal pediatric specialists! After a year of working at St. Jude, my husband got into a Ph.D. program in Seattle, WA. So, we packed up everything that could fit into our car and made our way to the PNW! Soon after arriving in Seattle, I started work at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center - that's where I am in the picture above... I had an amazing view of the lake, and I am already missing it since I stopped working earlier this month (I needed a break before I start medical school in August). Okay, back to my story! After working for a full year at Fred Hutch, I decided I was ready to apply for medical school! Ooof, what a long year of studying for the MCAT, filling out my AMCAS application, writing endless secondary essays, and interviewing virtually. I can honestly say this was one of the most emotionally taxing years of my life, and I am so thankful I had people like my husband, best friends, and awesome co-workers supporting me throughout the whole process. And as you know, I had success in this application cycle :)
Now get ready for some pictures of the people who helped me get to this point because I believe they deserve all the thanks in the world.
Shout out to the very best friends a girl could have - Sydney, Chelsea, and Amber (This was when they came to visit me in Seattle earlier this summer)

My husband, Chase, in his natural element. He deserves so much praise for constantly supporting me while also starting in his official thesis lab.

My co-workers literally holding me up throughout this whole year (I am serious - application season is a wild ride, so get ready and find good people to surround yourself with)
